The single most important trait that has allowed the fittest to survive and the weak to parish is the ability to adapt. And right now, we are all being asked to adapt to a different life style. The challenge right now is clearly mental because staying home is obviously not physically challenging. Tune everyone who’s complaining out, turn off the news, chose to be strong and see this as a positive thing. I had a soccer coach that would send people home during practice and even during a game if he heard them complain about being tired because he swore that negativity was infectious. Because of this rule, weakness died and everyone benefited from it. Every time you find yourself about to complain about being quarantined, do 20 burpees and see how long those negative thoughts last!

The path untraveled doesn’t just lead you to new places but makes the journey far more exciting. Today I learned that starting July 1st, I will be a surgery resident physician! Medicine has been an arduous and humbling road for me but I can confidently say it has all been worth it. Don’t listen to people who tell you that you can’t do something. Don’t believe people who say there is only one path towards success. And most of all, don’t let failures and rejections deter you from your goal.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is subjective. It’s whatever you view to be a balance with nature. On ig you will see a wide variety of reactions to the same photo and that’s because everyone has different ideas of what is beautiful. The more I post the more I appreciate how differently everyone thinks and views me and the world around us, whether it be good or bad.

Best way to stay focused on your goals is to spend more time doing things and less time worrying. As a fitness coach the most common challenge people have is worrying about the final outcome of their physique. It’s never about losing weight, gaining muscle or anything in between. Something to remember with your health and physique is there is NO final destination, learning to be happy with every step of the process is the only way to enjoy your life. Worrying doesn’t help you look better and distracts you from focusing on tasks that need your concentration. Every time you have an insecure thought force yourself to think of three positive things.
